How to approach the safety of children and parenting at a wedding reception?

My thoughts are to re-think the centerpieces height-wise. Candles would still be okay. Most parents watch for that, and alot of adults will keep their eyes on them. As long as they aren't near the edge of the table, very little arms can't reach.
