Does shooting a rocket launcher hurt?

i am going to phnom penh cambodia and u can go on the skirts of town and shoot a rocket launcher as well as many other weapons and i would like to know does shooting a rocket launcher hurt your shoulder and if u know someone who has had surgery on their shoulder should they shoot it, i would like a first hand or expert opinion. thanks.
