Why do people think the NFL is being "unfair" to Vick?

I could care less about Vick playing or not. The guy was a sub-par QB to begin with. The truth is though businesses have the right to decline employment to convicted felons. On every application for employment, it ask about felonious history. That company has the right to deny you employment based upon the fact that you have a felony, and could tarnish the reputation of thier company. The NFL is a multi-billion dollar company and therefore has every right to deny any convicted felon employment.
