What are your thoughts on surrogacy?

Religiously, the main problem I've heard with surrogacy is the same as IVF. Some people believe that babies should not be created outside the body, no matter who carries them. As for adoption, not everyone can adopt, for one reason or another. And there is a ton of red tape involved. But, at the heart of most parents via surrogacy, they just really want a baby who is biologically theirs. Also, they want the certainty that surrogacy gives them that adoption does not. I agree that adoption would be fulfilling, if it went off without a hitch, but it's not for everyone, just like surrogacy is not for everyone.
