Opinions on this bullying/turning point scene (easy 10pt!)?

I liked it. You did a great job building the fear and tension. More physical descriptions of the panic Carmen was feeling would add to the scene, eg: pounding heart, clammy palms, darting looks etc, but you've done well. It saddened me at first then uplifted me - I hope that was the effect you were going for!
