Colonoscopy needs to be done, husband has a defibillator,an amputeecan thisbe done outpatient?

Most likely. Its a fairly short procedure, but as they tend to knock you out with a big dose of antihistamine in many cases, that might collide with the condition that caused him to need a defibrillator. That's a sensible thing to ask the doctor AND an anasthesiologist. Being an amputee will have no effect on it, as such. Generally, you're in and out of the hospital within 3 or 4 hours. Its pretty minor and any polyps will usually be lasered off as they go, which is an added plus. Don't worry about it too much; all other things being stable, its a simple process.
